Inspired by Liverpool’s PIP group, Philosophy In Pubs takes place on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month between 6 and 8 pm. Anyone can take part.
Sometimes a topic is chosen by the group. What does it mean to be happy? What is evil? What are the limits of tolerance? Is it healthy to be well-adjusted to an absurd world? Group discussions are followed by an open debate, with a suitable break between to replenish our glasses! Sometimes we discuss a quote, and then agree a general philosophical question for the second part of our debate.
